Some good advice here already but just add in a few things. 1: Do not use Vasoline.
petroleum jelly can harbor bacteria and is harsh on the mucous membranes, stick to water based lubricants. 2: Using a finger or small toy first will allow you to get used to the feelings and sensations of things before moving on to penetration. However, when inserting things, don't stab like you are pressing a button as this will elicit a natural contraction of the muscles there. Instead, press the pad of the finger against the anus and slowly kind of roll it in. Despite what porn would have you believe, one can't just immediately shove it in there and it will work. 3: Keep applying lube throughout the act.
lube will break down and be absorbed as time progresses, keep putting more on to avoid unwanted friction. 4: Keep it safe and consensual, communicate throughout the entire thing and as was stated.
control the action, speed, and depth, not him. 5: Position that offers better control-him on back, you on top.
way you control the thrusting and he can't get overzealous 6: Try to use the restroom beforehand to ensure that there won't be any “accidents” 7: Stay safe-STDs can still be transmitted, but if the two of you have both been tested you can go without. However, in this case cleanup will be simpler if you use one.
