World Youth Day condom handout?

July 16th, 2008 by

Some protesters are handing out condoms. If Catholics are against sex before marriage, then what good is giving them a condom? If it's a sin to fornicate then are those that are doing it going to say “Oh we better not wear a condom it's against our relgion we better do it without one” Also everyone knows that without lubrication condoms have a greater chance of breaking and causing possible spread of disease yet the protesters aren't handing out lubrication, so much for sex education, have these protesters put any thought into it? This question is not about whether they have sex, everyone knows that Catholics have as much sex before marriage as anyone else, it's about the way the protest is taking place, and yes I know condoms are pre lubricated but good safe sex practice is to have extra lubrication that's why they invented it I'm certainly not taking the Catholic side on this issue, I just wish that if a point needs to be made then it be made well

the main goal of the protesters are to be annoying after laws were over turned that made it illegal to annoy the youth day pilgrims.

was getting the people fired up for 2 reasons one it's against the Catholicism to have sex before marriage and to use conception.

the protesters were supporting both of these things. I don't think the protesters were trying to give any form of sex education and probably not expecting any of the youth day pilgrims to use the condoms they just wanted to annoy them.

This condom campaign is insane. We are constantly told by these condom do-gooders that this is the best way to deal with the spread of HIV (especially in third world countries). In that case why do the countries which have embraced this program have the highest rates of HIV? And why is it that the countries which have introduced “abstinence” programs show the biggest recovery?
